The Market Research Analyst at Permian Labs is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and reporting on market data to inform business strategy and product development across the company's decentralized finance platforms. The role involves forecasting marketing and sales trends, measuring the effectiveness of promotional campaigns, and developing strategies to optimize user acquisition and retention. Using statistical tools and digital research methods, the analyst evaluates consumer behavior, competitor positioning, and market conditions to support data-driven decision-making. The position requires a background in economics, marketing, or a related field and the ability to translate complex findings into actionable insights for leadership and product teams.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Market Research and Analysis
- Monitor and forecast trends in user behavior, loan adoption, and campaign performance across Permian Labs digital financial products
- Gather and analyze data on competitors, consumers, and macroeconomic trends in the blockchain and fintech space
- Use statistical software and analytics platforms (e.g., Dune, Nansen, Google Analytics) to interpret marketing data and segment user demographics
- Develop and implement research methodologies including surveys, questionnaires, and web-based opinion polls for further product feedback and iteration
- Evaluate new and existing product demand using structured market analysis and consumer data
Reporting and Presentation
- Convert complex research findings into charts, infographics, tables, and written reports for internal C-level stakeholders
- Prepare monthly marketing performance reports for executive review, including ROI analysis and strategy recommendations
- Present insights and forecasts to cross-functional teams, contributing to decisions around product development and positioning
Strategic Contribution
- Help determine company positioning by analyzing competitors’ similar financial offerings, and communications
- Recommend improvements to marketing and promotional strategies based on measured effectiveness
- Support campaign planning by identifying target audience segments and predicting response patterns
Minimum Educational and Skill Requirements
- Education
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Economics, Marketing, Business Administration, or a closely related field required.
- Experience
- 3 years of professional experience in marketing, community management, or growth strategy roles.
- Experience in Web3, blockchain, fintech, or technology sectors preferred. .
- Specialized Skills:
- Advanced understanding of market research techniques, digital marketing analytics, and customer acquisition strategies.
- Ability to apply economic theories and market behavior analysis to marketing strategy and community engagement initiatives.
- Proficiency in Google Analytics, CRM platforms (HubSpot, Salesforce), campaign automation tools, and blockchain ecosystem tools (e.g., Dune, Nansen).
